As part of their duties, the Agri-Crew Worker is accountable for performing general farm tasks, including preparation of the barn in advance of the arrival of fresh flocks. There will be cleaning and washing of the barns included with this. In the course of the flock cycle, the employee will assist with the vaccination of birds, transport birds from grow barns to lay barns, and perform any other farm-related tasks that may be required.
Mowing and pruning the grass, painting, removing waste, and performing any other farm-related tasks that may be required are all examples of possible duties. When necessary, tasks could be performed either inside or outside; however, the working circumstances are subject to change depending on the season. There will be moments when the atmosphere at work is dusty and smells really strong. Heavy lifting or the removal of equipment can be necessary throughout the process of cleaning out the barn and setting it up.
A timetable
For this particular position, the work schedule is Monday through Friday, with an average of forty hours worked per week.
Due to the requirements of the operation, it is possible that work will be necessary on weekends and/or holidays.

Prerequisites for Being Hired
Preferred is a grade 12 or its equivalent.
Capacity to deal with live poultry Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision Experience working with live poultry

Having prior experience in the food processing business or the agriculture sector is preferred.
The candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and a clear driver’s abstract. They should also have experience operating farm tractors.
Always make sure to wear your personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly, including respirators when necessary.
Conditions of Employment
The job is performed inside, in an atmosphere similar to that of a farm or barn. It is possible for the working environment to be warm and humid, at times cold during the winter months, dusty with strong odors, and noisy at times.
Both standing for extended periods of time and performing tasks that are repetitious are typical.
