To become a member of the Lifewise team, a Peer Supporter is being sought after. Lifewise is the first non-profit organization in the province that was established jointly by and for those who are coping with issues related to mental health and addiction.
Our mission is to instill a sense of optimism for recovery and to enhance the quality of life for individuals who are coping with issues related to mental health and addiction, as well as for those who are willing to support them.
Keeping in mind that this position will demand close collaboration with the Opioid Treatment Team is something that you should keep in mind. There is flexibility in the candidate’s location, as the company has offices in both Corner Brook and Stephenville. With the assistance of Lifewise, the OTT Teams will be responsible for determining job allocations and scheduling.

The provision of frontline services in the areas of peer support, public education, and policy consultation is delivered by Peer Supporters in a variety of situations and types of formats. Facilities such as Lifewise offices, clinical offices or teams, hospitals, shelters, businesses, workplaces, communities, peer’s homes, and the streets are all examples of environments that may be encountered. One-on-one and group support can be provided through a variety of modalities, such as in-person, telephone, and online assistance.

In the existing and future programs of the opioid treatment hubs, it offers regular peer support to those who are participating.
In order to create awareness about the need of peer support in the recovery process, this organization works in collaboration with other individuals, professionals, and community partners. Statistics on the program are compiled, maintained, and reported on on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Attends program meetings on a regular basis in order to maintain strong communication and sustain the sharing of key information.
Provides assistance in analyzing program patterns, locating issues, and developing and providing solutions.
Keeps abreast of all the many facets of rehabilitation and peer support systems.

Hours of Work
Work on a full-time basis; the number of hours worked each week may vary. The majority of shifts are scheduled to take place between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 a.m., and they are scheduled seven days a week. In order to accommodate the fast-paced and adaptable environment of the community, it is vital to have flexible work hours.
