The Production Technician, who reports to the Production Manager and Team Leads, will assist with everyday duties such as packing and pre-roll production.
The ideal candidate will have a professional mindset as well as a strong interest in cannabis and the cannabis industry. Previous experience is regarded beneficial. The Production Technician is expected to observe and adhere to tight Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and attention to detail.
We are now seeking two Production Technicians for our Strathmore, AB location. Reliable transportation is required.
Responsibilities
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for daily tasks.
Assist with maintaining the relevant records and logs as required by GDP.
Maintain the overall condition of the tools, equipment, and production facilities. Production Technicians will receive training on intricate pieces of equipment.
Work collaboratively in a group or separately, as needed.
Overtime may be required on a regular basis. Weekend work is uncommon but may be necessary for production purposes.
Other duties as assigned and required for company success
Cleaning and sanitation in production environments.
Assisting other departments as needed.
Skills and Requirements
Strong attention to detail and shown organizational skills.
Good communication skills, both oral and written, are required because the Production Technician will be responsible for daily documentation and record keeping.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Candidates must have an outstanding attendance record.
Able to think critically and troubleshoot in a fast-paced setting.
Able to work safely in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Knowledge of cannabis or other industrial processing equipment and methods is regarded valuable.
Capability to meet PPE regulations such as gloves, uniforms, and respirators.
Familiarity with general documentation and record keeping is considered an asset.
Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
