Please be aware that if you are seeking employment on a temporary work or study permit, we recommend examining work permit regulations as they apply to healthcare businesses in Canada.
The Government of Canada considers LHSC to be a hospital/healthcare company, even if an employee works in a non-patient-facing job.
Individuals with a work or study permit seeking employment in this industry may be needed to complete additional steps in the process, such as a medical exam, which may also apply to employees trying to renew their work permits.
It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that they are following their individual work permit limits, and we advise all candidates and LHSC employees to be proactive and check restrictions as soon as possible, as this may be a lengthy process.
Together, we care, learn, and discover.
